We have four manufacturing facilities located at Choutuppal near Hyderabad and Raipur each equipped with state of the art Infrastructure, Equipment and in-house Galvanization facilities for meeting Customer’s requirements of Transmission Towers and other Structures.

Our main manufacturing units are suitably located in close proximity with the producers of raw materials. This in turn optimizes transportation costs of finished products to the customers. Our facilities are equipped with sophisticated laboratories for Mechanical and Chemical testing of materials.

Our Hyderabad unit is spread over an area of 145,686 Sq. meters with a production capacity of 52,000 MT/Annum. The manufacturing facility at Raipur is spread over 182,110 Sq. meters with a production capacity of 45,000 MT/Annum.

Design capability

Aster has an in-house Design Team that undertakes designing of Transmission Towers and Substation Structures as per the Customer requirements.
  • Aster Design Team uses latest softwares for Design and Detailing of Transmission Line Towers viz. PLS-Tower and iTOWERS Designer TL for Designing and bocad-3D, AutoDesk Inventor and progeCAD for Detailing
  • Design team is capable to use various standards which are common across the globe such as
    • Indian Standards IS 875:1964, IS 800:1984 and IS 802:1984
    • EIA/TIA-222-G, SEI/ASCE 10-97 & 48-05
    • BS8100-1:1986, BS 8100-3:1999, AS3995-1994 & SANS-South African, etc.
  • Validation of designs is carried out by third party agencies such as
    • Structural Engineering Research Center (SERC) Chennai, Govt. of India
    • Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Chennai and
    • Central Power Research Institute (CPRI), Bangalore
  • Our Design Engineers oversee the proto assembly of Towers in-house and supervise the testing of Towers at test beds to ensure accuracy of erection
  • The prototype towers are type tested in test beds like Central Power Research Institute (CPRI)
  • For our clients in Oman Electricity Transmission Company, HVPNL-Haryana and Electricity Company of Ghana Ltd. we designed & successfully type tested 132 kV Heavy weight (double YEW conductor), 132 kV normal weight (for HVPNL) & 33 kV towers (Ghana) at CPRI, Bengaluru

Aster T&D has executed a several Projects in Transmission Line Construction, Distribution and Substation structures for a number of Customers. Repeat orders are a testimony to the confidence and satisfaction of our Customers. T&D is now expanding Customer base rapidly across the country with ambitious growth plans.   • 1200 kV Single circuit towers to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) through SPIC-SMO (JV). This is the first line of this capacity in India
  • 765 kV Single circuit towers to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) through SPIC-SMO in three packages
  • 400 kV double circuit Transmission Line Towers to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) through Multifab, Tata Projects Limited (TPL), SPIC - SMO, LANCO and Deepak Cables India Limited 
  • 220/132/66 kV Transmission Line Towers Supply to Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL), CSEB (through L&T), Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited (MPPTCL), Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL), Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited (APTRANSCO), Haryana Vidyuth Prasaran Nigam Ltd. (HVPNL) and EPC Companies 
  • 220/132/66/33/11 kV Substation Structures to MPPTCL, APTRANSCO, MSETCL, KPTCL and their vendors 
  • 220/110 kV Multi Circuit Towers supplied to APTRANSCO, KPTCL 
400 kV Substation Structures supplied to Tata Projects Limited, Siemens Limited, Areva T&D India Limited (User: PGCIL), BGR Energy (User: APTRANSCO)
