Indian Railways had planned to convert all major existing lines into electrification line in their 11th Five year plan and as such, the requirement of galvanized steel structures is going up day by day in present scenario. Aster is one of the CORE (Central Organization for Railway Electrification) approved vendor for manufacturing and supply of galvanized steel structures and small parts of steel for Over Head Electrification(OHE) and Traction Substations (TSS). Our heavy fabrication and world class Galvanizing facilities and in-house testing facilities will ensure to manufacture all types of steel structures meeting the CORE specifications with the best quality for Railway Electrification. Aster has already proved it’s competence by supplying the galvanized steel structures for almost all the Railway zones across the country. Aster is also joining hands with EPC contractors for executing Turnkey projects in Railways.
Aster is one of the RDSO (Research Designs and Standards Organization) / CORE approved vendors to manufacture and supply range of OHE Galvanized Structures, like Portals, Masts, Beams, Gantries, Small Parts Steel (SPS) and Traction Substation Structures.

Our Manufacturing facility includes a modern fabrication machine shop with a vast stockyard, for storing of raw material and the finished goods. The Company is equipped with state-of-the-art of Imported Furnace Technology for Hot Dip Galvanisation from PROTHORM, United Kingdom. Our Galvanization bath of the size 13m x 2.5m x 2.5m, with Galvanizing capacity of 5,000 MT per month is one of the largest in Asia.

We undertake galvanizing of all sizes up-to 13m of OHE structures in single dip in our oil fired bath and as per the specifications laid down by RDSO and ASTM, BS, IS, etc., to meet stringent Indian Railways requirement and International Standards. Aster’s Plant is fully equipped with all necessary process tanks required for:
  • Surface treatment of steel (Pre-operation of Galvanizing) viz, de-greasing, pickling, rinsing, fluxing and preheating
  • An oil fired furnace for Zinc with temperature recorder and controller to maintain the temperature of Zinc at constant and required level, so that uniform coating is achieved
  • Post galvanizing treatment consisting of water quenching and passivation to protect the galvanized steel from white rust
All the process parameters are continuously monitored through various checks and the fully equipped in house laboratory including Spectrometer to ensure consistent product quality.
